OT Update on my daughter

I can not believe that they did not take her... What kind of place is that were they think that you spend all of your time trying to get help for your daughter.. like you don't have a million other things to do...Could you send her to her fathers?????  Don't give up may be the next time she's suicidal  you call the police... of course i don't know if they can do anything , but having  her laughing at you on the way home must of been really hard... take care

Thank you, No her father lives out of state.  He is in construction and lives out of motels in the middle of nowhere.  She is currently staying with my brother (mainly so I don't hurt her) but she cant stay for very long.  I have been on the phone all day today to try to find a therapist for her.  Yeah, and I was so mad at the evaluator last night at the hospital.  I did lose my temper the night before last and spanked her butt, and of course that was all he was focused on.  NOt the fact that she belittled me, was verbally abusive for 40 minutes before I spanked her.  But I forgot, as parents we don't have the legal right to spank our children anymore!!!!!!!

I have BC of Ca(Anthem) HMO

Yes, by law we can spank them on the butt as long as there are no bruise. Also if your daughter tries to hit you call the police. The the courts will make it manditory for counseling and she would quilify for some state benifits.  Try Living Success Center in Costa Mesa. This is a non profit org. sliding scale fee. 3 of my children and I are recieving counseling. When I had an income I was paying $75 a month for all 4 of us. I have not paid them in over 6mons due to financial problems. They will not stop the counseling just because you don't have the money nor do they turn it into collections. I hope this helps. Maybe , when she has an episode again...try to discreetly turn on your cell phone to video/ record the situation..hopefully, there would be  some tangible proof that she is in need of intervention.  Just a thought.

Thank you all for the helpful advise. I will be spending most of the day today on the phone calling the resources you all have provided.  I have to get US the help we need to get through this.
